BSC Foundation Scholarships
The Beaumaris Secondary College Foundation Scholarships support graduating Year 12 students as they pursue further education and future pathways. These scholarships recognise student achievement, aspiration and potential.
Overview
Established through the generosity of community member and long-time supporter of Beaumaris Secondary College, Bridget Hsu-Hage, the Foundation reflects a shared commitment to helping young people achieve their aspirations and make a positive contribution to their communities.
Each year, Foundation Scholarships are awarded to selected Year 12 students to support their chosen post-school pathway and assist them in achieving their future goals.
About the Foundation
The Beaumaris Secondary College Foundation was established to provide opportunities for graduating students as they transition from secondary school to further study and future careers.
The Foundation is overseen by a Board comprising members of the Beaumaris community who share a passion for education and a commitment to supporting young people as they pursue their ambitions.
Through the provision of scholarships, the Foundation recognises student achievement, dedication, perseverance and potential.
Scholarship Applications
Applications are open annually to current Year 12 students who intend to undertake further education following graduation.
Students are invited to submit an application outlining their achievements, future aspirations and how the scholarship would support their chosen pathway.
Applications are reviewed through a formal selection process, with recipients chosen based on a range of factors including academic achievement, commitment to learning, leadership, community involvement, personal circumstances and future goals.
Successful recipients are announced at the Year 12 Graduation Ceremony each year.

2025 Recipient Profiles
Indianna King
2025 Scholarship Recipient
Amongst a myriad of awards, Indianna has consistently been recognised as a High Achiever at Beaumaris, achieving in the top 5% of academic results since Year 10. She is most proud of attaining a 45 study score in General Mathematics last year.
Indianna wishes to raise the profile of women in fields where they are less represented, especially in STEM. She loves coaching and mentoring young girls, giving them confidence in their own skills and abilities. Aspiring to undertake a Bachelor’s Degree in Science Advanced Global Challenges, she intends to apply that study to solving widespread global issues.
Emily Gratz
2025 Scholarship Recipient
Emily embodies the first of our CORE Values. Naturally curious and enjoying learning about the world around her, she is intensely interested in the complexity of the human body and how different systems interact to shape who we are.
Emily has been a High Achiever Award recipient in 2021, 2023, 2024 and 2025. Completing Units 3–4 Physical Education last year, she attained a study score of 40 and has received multiple CORE Values Awards every year since Year 7.
Combining academic ability with a passion for helping others, Emily aspires to undertake study in Biomedical Science and pursue a career in medicine as a paediatrician or obstetrician-gynaecologist.
Santiago Sassman
2025 Scholarship Recipient
Emily embodies the first of our CORE Values. Naturally curious and enjoying learning about the world around her, she is intensely interested in the complexity of the human body and how different systems interact to shape who we are.

Lily Gorvett-Page
2025 Scholarship Recipient
Lily embraces life fully and is a dedicated, hard-working and high-achieving student. A recipient of a plethora of academic accolades, she has regularly been a High Achiever, Strive Award and CORE Merit recipient. Studying Biology Units 3–4 last year, she achieved a study score of 49, while also achieving a study score of 43 in Physical Education.
Immersing herself deeply in the life and leadership of the College, Lily also volunteers extensively in the community beyond home and school. Surf lifesaving is a particular passion, and she is the most qualified female member of the Mentone Life Saving Club, as well as the first woman to attain the Gold Medallion.
Lily is deeply passionate about pursuing a career in medicine and aspires to specialise in women's health.
Olympia Konstantaras
2025 Scholarship Recipient - First in Family to Attend University
Olympia is being recognised in the category of First in Family to Attend University. This is a very special category and one that is particularly important to the Foundation. From a young age, Olympia has always been curious about how and why systems operate the way that they do, making the fields of Science and Engineering compelling areas of interest.
Olympia has been a CORE Values Award recipient in 2020, 2021, 2023 and 2024, and a High Achiever Award recipient in 2021 and 2022. Beyond school, she has been recognised through achievements including the 2024 National Council of Women Australia My Vote; My Voice competition and recognition from the 2024 National Council of Women of Victoria.
Olympia is an extraordinarily worthy recipient of a scholarship. While in Grade 6, a family member received a life-changing diagnosis. The impact on the family was significant, but greater still was the resilience, strength, perseverance and love demonstrated by the family as a whole, and by Olympia in particular.
Her career aspiration is to help people firsthand in a medical setting, or to work on technology and medications that assist healthcare professionals in the diagnosis and treatment of people who are sick, enabling people to lead long and healthy lives.
Emerson Leffler
2025 Scholarship Recipient - Sporting Excellence
Emerson is a recipient of the Foundation's Sporting Excellence Scholarship, a special category recognising students whose achievements on alternative pathways are particularly significant and noteworthy. While aspiring to university education, Emerson has already begun making a mark beyond the classroom.
A High Achiever Award recipient, multiple CORE Values Merit recipient and student leader, Emerson has also excelled in sport.
Among Emerson's many achievements are:
- 2025 Victorian State Champion (Under 22s)
- 2024 Victorian Institute of Sport scholarship recipient
- Representation of Australia at numerous international competitions, including World Championships and World Cups
- Six-time National Champion in their chosen sport
- Twelve-time medallist at the Australian National Championships
- Fifth place at the World Age Championships
An AIS categorised elite athlete, Emerson intends to undertake tertiary study in Queensland while continuing to train under the 2024 Australian Olympic Coach.
Kiara Mooney
2025 Scholarship Recipient - Sporting Excellence
Kiara is a recipient of the Foundation's Sporting Excellence Scholarship.
Kiara has been awarded the School Sport Victoria Academic and Sporting Achievement Medal, recognising students with outstanding academic and sporting contributions.
A swimmer and triathlete, Kiara was a member of Triathlon Australia's High Performance Program, which identifies athletes to work towards achieving medal outcomes at the 2028 and 2032 Olympic Games. She was one of only five athletes nationally selected for the program, the only athlete from Victoria and the youngest participant.
Kiara was a silver and bronze medallist at the 2024 World Championships, has competed at national level and was the Victorian Open Water Swimming Champion in 2025.
Kiara aspires to help others through a career in the health field while balancing her sporting ambition of competing at the 2032 Brisbane Olympic Games.

The Beaumaris Secondary College Foundation Scholarships provide more than financial assistance. They represent an investment in the aspirations, potential and future success of our students.
