Overview

Established through the generosity of community member and long-time supporter of Beaumaris Secondary College, Bridget Hsu-Hage, the Foundation reflects a shared commitment to helping young people achieve their aspirations and make a positive contribution to their communities.

Each year, Graduate Scholarships are awarded to selected Year 12 students to support further education and post-school pathways. Community Awards are also presented to one student in each year level from Years 7–10, recognising their contribution to the community.

About the Foundation

The Foundation Board comprises Bridget and three former college leaders: Foundation Principal Debby Chaves, Foundation School Council President Steve Pearce and Foundation School Council Treasurer Shaun Mooney. Together, they bring a longstanding connection to the college and a shared commitment to supporting young people.

Graduate Scholarship Applications

Applications are open annually to current Year 12 students who intend to undertake further education following graduation. Applications generally open in Semester 2, with details communicated to eligible students and families.

Students are invited to submit an application outlining their achievements, future aspirations and how the scholarship would support their chosen pathway.

Applications are reviewed through a formal selection process, with recipients chosen based on a range of factors including academic achievement, commitment to learning, leadership, community involvement, personal circumstances and future goals.

Successful recipients are announced at the Year 12 Graduation Ceremony each year.
