Yesterday kicked off our Year 11 Vocational Major Community Connections program, with students meeting local community members and beginning conversations that will continue over four sessions this term.

Held at the Beaumaris Soccer Club in partnership with Bayside City Council, the program provides valuable opportunities for students to build connections beyond the classroom, develop their communication and interpersonal skills and learn from the experiences and perspectives of others.

We were delighted to receive wonderful feedback from the older adults who attended, many of whom shared how much they valued the opportunity to connect one-on-one with our students. They praised our students for their respectful manner, outstanding behaviour and genuine engagement throughout the session.

We look forward to seeing these relationships grow throughout the term.
