We were thrilled to host students from our sister school, Lycée Georges Duby in France, who arrived during the July school holidays.
During their stay, our French exchange students enjoyed a memorable day at Healesville Sanctuary, exploring Australian wildlife. They also had the opportunity to cook iconic Australian Vegemite scrolls with our Year 10 French students.
A highlight of the visit was an Indigenous cultural activity where the French students learned about the Aboriginal Possum Skin Cloak tradition, exploring its significance as a symbol of identity, belonging, and connection to Country. The activity offered a chance to reflect on cultural parallels, deepening the students' appreciation for diverse traditions.
Thursday, 31 July, marked the final day of our French exchange students' visit to Australia. We celebrated the friendships and memories formed over the past four weeks, with our students already excited to reconnect when they travel to France at the end of the year.
